Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KIPS PDF ("we", "us") handles information when you use our website and tools at kipspdf.vercel.app (the "Service"). Your privacy is fundamental to how the Service is built.
1. Your documents never leave your device
All PDF and file processing happens entirely within your web browser on your own device. We do not upload, transmit, store, view or share the contents of any file you process. When you close the browser tab, the files and their data are gone from memory.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little data as possible:
- Usage analytics: With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymised usage (such as page views and general device type). IP addresses are anonymised.
- Local storage: We store small preferences (theme, language and your cookie choice) in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device.
- Contact data: If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.
3. Cookies and consent
We use a privacy-friendly cookie banner powered by Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics cookies are only enabled after you click "Accept". You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage. See our Cookie Policy for details.
4. Advertising
We may display advertising from Google AdSense to keep the Service free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You may opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings. Where required, ad personalisation is disabled until you provide consent.
5. Third-party services
We load PDF rendering libraries (pdf.js and pdf-lib) and analytics from trusted content delivery networks. These providers may receive standard technical request data (such as your IP address and browser type) needed to deliver the files. They do not receive your documents.
6. Data retention
Because we do not store your files, there is nothing for us to retain. Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults.
7. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be satisfied by clearing your browser storage. Contact us to exercise any right.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
